Shock Rebuilding

$99+

Rebuilding shock absorbers is a normal part of maintaining any high-performance suspension system. Most performance shocks are designed to be fully rebuildable, with recommended service intervals around 40,000 miles—though this can vary based on terrain, driving style, and load. Rebuildability not only extends the life of the shocks but also provides an opportunity to update the internal tuning if ride needs have changed.

A standard rebuild typically includes replacing all seals, refilling with fresh JM92 shock oil, recharging with nitrogen, and a thorough cleaning. During the process, internal components are inspected, and any worn or damaged parts can be replaced as needed for an additional cost. Pricing varies depending on shock type and complexity. Shock Tuning

$99+

Even the most advanced shock absorbers can feel underwhelming if not properly tuned for the vehicle and its intended use. Achieving great ride quality isn’t about having the most expensive components—it’s about making the right adjustments. Just like an engine requires proper tuning to perform at its best, shocks need to be matched to the vehicle’s weight, suspension setup, and driving conditions. Fortunately, the fundamentals of shock tuning are straightforward, and most off-road dampers rely on the same core principles to control ride and handling characteristics.

Many shock manufacturers offer pre-tuned options for specific vehicles, typically aimed at general road use and the average driver. Aftermarket shocks designed for off-road applications are often valved with a particular platform in mind, but they can’t account for every modification. Adding significant weight—such as 500 pounds of gear or accessories in the bed of a truck—can change how the suspension reacts to bumps and terrain. In these cases, adjusting the shock tuning can significantly improve both performance and ride comfort.
